Thank you to all YW Staff, Volunteers, and Board Members. Our collective work is being recognized and acknowledged! Last night, over 110 YW Supporters gathered and celebrated our mission to eliminate racism, empower women & girls, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. This is possible due to the efforts of our teachers in educating our children, youth, families and adult learners. Our dedicated administrative teams keep the YW machine running. Our leadership team and board of directors in guiding the organization’s rapid growth and expansion with adherence to the YWCA mission.
On Friday, September 28, 2018, Rep. Ryan Costello addressed United States House of Representatives acknowledging YWCA USA and YWCA Tri-County Area as a catalyst for expanding economic and education opportunities, promoting civil rights and social justice, and preventing violence against women and girls.
Last night, Valerie Arkoosh, Montgomery County Commissioner Chair, acknowledged YWCA Tri-County Area for over the last 110 years, through the work of dedicated members and volunteers, the YWCA has had a lasting impact on the lives of countless women and girls.
Campaign for Equity was kicked off yesterday! We raised $8,461.50.
