YWCA Tri-County Area’s Week Without Violence: OCTOBER 16-21

The YW3CA Programs located at 300 King Street and 724 N. Adams Street are hosting a week full of free or donation-based activities leading up to the Annual Block Event. On Saturday, October 21st, the 300 block of King Street in Pottstown will be transformed into a community event featuring poetry recitals, music performances, games, food, crafts, raffles, giveaways, community resource tables, employment opportunities, and more. Join the movement from October 16-21 for “Not On Our Screens. Not In Our Streets: A Movement Towards Violence-Free Communities”.

Entertainment includes the Pottstown Area Middle School concert band, led by teacher and band director Katie German, musical performances by Terri Camilleri and David Charles YW3CA Staff member Kimyetta Lewis, performing original poetry designed to empower and inspire the community, and Steven Pugh of SP Entertainment. There will be a special visit from local music legend and proud member of YW3CA’s Foster Grandparent Program, Mike Holliday, and his accompanying band!
