Ultimate Indoor Adventure – Girls Today Leaders Tomorrow

Our Youth Empowerment Program LOVED taking the graduates of Girls Today, Leaders Tomorrow (GTLT) on an adventure-filled field trip this past Friday.

Where was this field trip to? TO THE ULTIMATE INDOOR ADVENTURE PARK! That’s right, YWCA Tri-County Area’s Youth Empowerment Program (YEP) GTLT graduates got to spend the day at Urban Air in Royersford.

Graduating members of Girls Today, Leaders Tomorrow joined Miss Kelly, Miss Kelly and Miss Kristie for an exciting day last Friday at Urban Air, an ultimate indoor adventure park. Girls tested their agility, strength and perseverance on the Sky Coaster, High Ropes course, climbing walls and more!

Our YEP Team is always thrilled to go on an adventure and celebrate these incredible youth’s achievements!

YW3CA is a proud participant in the program and is grateful for grant contributions from The Foundation for Pottstown Education to make trips and other special events throughout the year possible.

GTLT is a signature program through United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey. First introduced by Women United in 2007, GTLT serves to empower and support girls. The program teachers the girls to focus on their personal goals and achievement. With support from their peers and mentors, GTLT participants create a path to college and a future career.

Over 20 girls in grades 7 through 12 are enrolled in YW3CA YEP’s GTLT cohorts. Our YEP team is so grateful to help each participant embrace their leadership potential. They love helping them become self-directed, self-regulated learners. YEP is a multi-faceted initiative to help youth build the skills, habits, and knowledge needed for success in school and beyond. YW3CA’s Youth Empowerment Program serves over 500 youth annually.
