Spooktacular Summer Halloween

Christmas in July?! No thanks! We’ll take Summer Halloween instead!!

This summer YW3CA is hosting Camp Adventures – a 10-week summer camp available for children ages 4-12. However, this isn’t your typical summer camp. Our energetic, ambitious counselors have kept Camp lively and exciting all summer long.

Along with the counselors, Coach Ken spent the past year planning the best summer ever for our campers. Camp Adventures gives children the opportunities for fun outdoor experiences and activities that encourage curiosity, teambuilding, learning, and creativity.

Along with all of this – Camp Adventures promotes healthy lifestyle choices, independence, and self-awareness/confidence. Our summer camp has 4 stations for the campers to enjoy: Arts, S.T.E.M., Sports, and Swimming.

Coach Ken has planned over 20 themed days for camp this year. These theme days include Backwards Day, Dance Party, Pool Palooza, Color Run, and more! In addition to theme days he has planned field trips throughout the summer. Herr’s Factor, Steel River Playhouse, Citizens Bank Park, and Reading Museum are just a few of the places our campers will get to experience this summer.

Theme days and trips help unite campers and counselors into one awesome Camp Adventures community. Incorporating activities that are engaging to a wide range of ages and skill levels was at the top of priorities when planning each special event for Camp Adventures. Typically split into age groups, the theme days of summer camp have built a way for the whole camp to become a close ensemble.

Just last week our Camp Adventures community said no to Christmas in July but instead celebrated Summer Halloween! Superheroes were seen left and right along with a few princesses sprinkled in throughout our group of campers. Check out the pictures below of what was one of the best days of summer camp yet!!
