Health and wellness, leadership and life skills are on the table at YWCA Tri-County Area’s annual All.Girl! Leadership and Wellness Convention, open to girls grades 3-12. Girls are invited to attend the day-long series of workshops with presenters on Saturday, April 25, at Montgomery County Community College’s West Campus in Pottstown.
YW is seeking dynamic professionals who share YW’s passion for elevating girls to share energizing and interactive presentations at the All.Girl! convention. 2020’s All.Girl! Leadership and Wellness Convention is encouraging girls to “pause, breathe, and achieve”, leading them to positive decision making and overall positive health and well-being. Possible topics include stress management, resiliency, leadership, self-defense, self-expression, financial literacy, and conflict management.
Those interested in participating at the All.Girl! convention may submit presentation proposals, within the following parameters:
- Presenters are requested to participate from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Presentations are 45 minutes in length, including 5 minutes for evaluation. There will be four sessions scheduled throughout the day.
- There will be a 10-minute break between sessions, and a mid-day break for lunch and keynote session.
- Preference will be given to presenters offering sessions applicable to multiple age groups; participants will be broken into grades 3-5, grades 6-7, grades 8-9, grades 10-12, and young women age 18-25.
- Presenters are responsible for providing any necessary handouts.
- Many (but not all) rooms support VGA and HDMI connections from PCs and MACs.
All selected presenters will receive an honorarium within 30 days of the event.
