YWCA Tri-County Area is here to serve, elevate, educate, support, acknowledge, and cultivate mutual respect. We are here to invest in women, families, and the community. We are visionary leaders building collaborative relationships that propel community-driven transformational change.

What is Week Without Violence (WWV)?

Week Without Violence is part of a global movement with YWCA's across the country and around the world to end violence and to bring communities together and take a stance to stop violence of any kind. At YWCA, we know that not all violence is acknowledged or responded to equally and that some victims go unrecognized altogether. That’s why, for more than 20 years, YWCA has set aside one week in October as a Week Without Violence. Join us from October 21st to October 26th, as we raise awareness, elevate survivor voices, talk with policymakers, and more with a common goal: Build partnerships and focus on solving problems .Make sure the youth have positive ways to spend their spare time through organized recreation and volunteering opportunities. Build up communities…….together we become stronger.
