Although the COVID-19 pandemic has restricted our classes, we are still have open enrollment for interested students!
Enrollment is open for the next 12-week session of Adult Basic Education/Adult Secondary Education (High School Diploma) classes at YWCA Tri-County Area (YW3CA). The session begins Monday, April 13.
The classes are free to Pennsylvania residents 17 and older without a high school diploma who are not enrolled in any public or private post-secondary school. Classes are Mondays through Thursdays in two locations: 724 N. Adams St., Pottstown, and 1430 DeKalb St., Norristown.
Students enrolling in the high school diploma classes improve their skills in basic academic subjects leading toward a Commonwealth Secondary School Diploma. YW3CA’s Adult Education and Training Center also offers the HiSet exam which gives out-of-school youth and adults the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and knowledge and earn the state-issued diploma.
The Adult Education and Training Center also offers English as a Second Language classes for non-native speakers of English; adults may register for ESL classes at any time.
