Citizens Bank Field Trip – Camp Adventures for the Win!
In just the last two weeks of Camp our adventurers went on yet ANOTHER field trip! This time our campers traveled to Citizens Bank Park for a tour of the stadium.
Our campers were split into three groups. Featuring an up-close look at the ballpark, they got to see the Broadcast Booth, Dugouts, Media Room, and more!
One of the tour stops was to the Phillies Wall of Fame. This Wall of Fame is a collection of plaques mounted on a brick wall. Each year the Phillies honor a truly exceptional player or other member of the Phillies family with a plaque on the Wall of Fame.
As the tour continued our campers also got to experience The Yard!
The Yard is a 13,000-square-foot interactive kids’ baseball experience.
So what makes The Yard so awesome? The Yard contains a Hatfiled Franks Hot Dog Launcher, a 30-foot Phanatic Climbing Wall, an Ice Cream Bar, and more! Unfortunately, because there was no game when our campers went to visit The Yard, most of the features were closed for the afternoon (including the Ice Cream Bar). ):
The Camp Adventures team got to take pictures of the different stadium features, the incredible statues, and a few of the trophies. They were able to experience all the awesome features of Citizens Bank Park despite there not being a live baseball game to watch.
Our tour guides did a fabulous job and even gave the whole Camp Adventures team Phillies pins! Before they headed home, campers enjoyed lunch at the stadium and took some ‘phantastic’ photos with the Philly Phanatic.
This was the third field trip Camp Adventures went on this summer. Our previous trips included the Herr’s Factory and the Reading Museum. As always – our campers came home tired from a day of fun!
