YWCA Tri-County Area Teams with Pennsylvania CareerLink for Welcome Aboard Orientation in Pottstown

Orientation sessions for Pennsylvania CareerLink employment services will be available in Pottstown one Friday each month at YWCA Tri-County Area, 300 King Street, beginning Friday, September 28.

The Welcome Aboard sessions provide an overview of all available services through PA CareerLink, a one-stop workforce assistance organization. Attending the Welcome Aboard orientation is a required first step in obtaining employment-related services through CareerLink.

In addition to the overview of CareerLink services, CareerLink staff will offer a preliminary assessment with each job seeker to match individual needs with CareerLink services. Interested job seekers then may schedule a visit to a CareerLink office – Tri-County locations are in Norristown, Reading and Exton – for further assessment and assistance.

CareerLink offers online and in-person assistance with resume writing, career counseling and exploration, job search strategies, job matching, interview skills training, skills assessment, and training opportunities. CareerLink also schedules workshops on a variety of employment topics.

Registration for the Welcome Aboard sessions is available through the CareerLink website (cwds.pa.gov), or in person on the day of the session.   Welcome Aboard is free of charge.

All sessions are from 9:30 am to noon at YWCA Tri-County Area, 300 King Street, Pottstown. Welcome Aboard dates are:
