Discover the Power of Healing with YW3CA Trauma 101
Discover the Power of Healing with YWCA Tri-County Area’s Restoring Hope: Trauma 101 – An Overview of Trauma-Informed Care. In partnership with #WeHealUs and in recognition of National Trauma and Mental Health Awareness Month. This transformative workshop, hosted by the YWCA’s Trauma and Prevention Services, aims to educate and empower individuals and communities to navigate the complexities of trauma with compassion and understanding.
Research indicates that a staggering “67% of the population has faced at least one Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE)”, highlighting the pervasive impact of trauma on our society. Through Restoring Hope: Trauma 101, participants will embark on an immersive journey into the realm of trauma, gaining invaluable insights into its neurological, psychological, and social dimensions. This multimedia workshop invites professionals and community members to collaborate in constructing a comprehensive understanding of trauma and its far-reaching effects.
“Restoring Hope: Trauma 101 is more than just a workshop; it’s a catalyst for change,” says Kristie Piacine, Director of the YWCA’s Trauma and Prevention Services department. “By equipping individuals with the knowledge and tools needed to recognize and respond to trauma, we empower them to foster healing and resilience within themselves and their communities.”
