Art, music, dance, food, block event marks YWCA Tri-County Area’s Week Without Violence: OCTOBER 16-21
The 300 block of King Street in Pottstown will be transformed into a community event featuring the restoration of the Black Lives Matter Street art installation, a student art contest, dance, poetry, music, games, food, community resource tables, employment opportunities and more.
Week Without Violence is part of a global movement with YWCAs across the country and around the world to end violence against women and girls. At YWCA, we know that not all violence is acknowledged or responded to equally and that some victims go unrecognized altogether. That’s why, for more than 20 years, YWCA has set aside one week in October as a Week Without Violence. Join the Movement October 16-21 for Not On Our Screens. Not In Our Streets: A Movement Towards Violence-Free Communities.
Get involved, volunteer, or join YW3CA for the Block Event, held rain or shine from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, October 23, in front of YWCA Tri-County Area, 315 King St in Pottstown.
